Feral Studio

Feral Studio stands as a visionary collective at the forefront of the contemporary art world, renowned for its avant-garde approach to sculptural installations. Founded on the belief that art is an immersive experience, our studio intertwines traditional metalworking techniques with cutting-edge technology, creating singular, site-specific sculptures that evoke emotion and provoke thought. This dedication to tradition serves as the foundation upon which we build our artistic narrative, infusing raw materials with life and meaning. Feral Studio’s sculptures transcend mere installations; they serve as immersive experiences that seamlessly integrate with their environments.

Phillip P. Buckheart

Artist Statement: Although I was born in southern California, I have resided in Nevada since the early age of three. I am an enrolled member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma and am also half Choctaw. My work expresses my perceptions and feelings that relate to my own Native culture and background. I continue to construct different abstract assemblage sculptures through a variety of sculpting materials that can be assembled into forms resembling human figures or forms. While my passion is sculpture, my art includes work produced using clay, assemblage pieces, oil, watercolor, charcoal, airbrush, pastels, pen and ink.
